1^ST Philipson’s BRIARLOW’S CARINA – Spanish Water Dog – Attractive bitch, sound all through, good coat texture.

BIS

My thanks to the Committee of this well organised show, the venue offered both inside and outside rings and I chose to judge outside in the warm afternoon sunshine where the dogs could be assessed in a large and spacious ring with good floor surface.

A quality line up for BIS, I chose from a very strong Gundog group the Welsh Springer, Tain’s INGSMAN ACER AT TAIMERE. Sparkling red and white bitch, only just out of puppy but what a cracker, showed her socks off, should have a bright future. The Reserve spot went to a very nice French Bulldog who had won through from AVNSC Utility, Gavaghan’s VAGHNA OOPSA DAISY, brindle bitch with everything in the right place, again, only a youngster which just goes to show we can still breed good dogs here in the UK.

BPIS was the S/C Chihuahua, Entwistle’s AMAROSE ALFIE LOVES DORENTY. This little chap thought he was 6ft tall and demanded my attention, handled to perfection, surely another one destined for the top. RBPIS Danson’s ZARINSKA DREAM WARRIOR, black Newfoundland, struggling a little in the heat but still put in a sterling performance.
